It visits over 150 communities across Canada and North America, including several towns in Wisconsin. It’s the iconic Canadian Pacific Holiday Train and here are just five reasons why you should round up the whole family and see the CP Holiday Train in person December 5-7:

  1. The train is making 11 stops in Wisconsin this year.
The CP Holiday Train will begin its Wisconsin journey in the southeastern corner of the state at Sturtevant and make its way to the western side of the state in La Crosse. See the schedule below for arrival times.
  2. It’s a moving holiday light show.
We love holiday shows so much. Whether you prefer to walk or drive through, there are wonderful displays throughout the state this time of year but there’s nothing quite like the Canadian Pacific Holiday Train. For starters, it’s a Christmastime train. Add one million bright lights and you’ll see why thousands flock to see this holiday spectacle rolling through southern Wisconsin each year.
  3. There’ll be live music performed by Colin James and Kelly Prescott.
How do you top this Yuletide tradition? Add in the musical talents of one of Canada’s greatest musicians, Colin James, and country singer, Kelly Prescott.
  4. It’s North America’s longest rolling food bank.
But wait! There’s more. We love the fabulous lights and the wonderful music but perhaps the best part about the Canadian Pacific Holiday Train, is it happens each year for a wonderful cause. The CP Holiday Train has raised over $10 million and more than 3.6 million pounds of nonperishable food donations to date.
  5. It’s the perfect holiday event the whole family will love.
Lights, music, trains, charity…what’s not to love?! Mark your calendars: The train will be rolling through southern Wisconsin December 5-7!
