9 Things to Do at DeerFest

When it comes to deer hunting, Wisconsin knows its stuff. If you own more camo and blaze orange than anything else, or if you block off opening weekend from all other activities, you may be a deer hunter. For all things deer hunting, check out DeerFest in West Bend, happening August 3-5, 2018. Here are just a few things to do when you attend:

  1. Check out the Celebrity Archery Tournament
DeerFest invites celebrity guests to the show, and attendees can watch the celebrity guests compete in daily tournaments on the target course. If you’re lucky, you may even get to show against the celebrities!
  2. Watch Shed Dog Trials
The deer hunting world has seen a rise in popularity of shed antler hunting, and dogs play a big role! Look on as some of the world’s best shed antler hunting dogs compete. It may even be convincing enough to send you out in search of your own shed antler dog!
  3. Partake in the DeerFest Live Auction
This is one of the largest deer-only live auctions in the world, where guns, bows, treestands, apparel, and so much more will be auctioned off. You won’t want to miss it!
  4. Bow Testing, 3D Shoots, Tournaments
DeerFest will host leading archery manufacturers, such as Mathews, Hoyt, PSE and Ten Point, which will provide attendees the chance to test their new bows in a shooting range.
  5. Attend seminars
DeerFest contains three full days of unique and exclusive seminars, where celebrities and industry experts talk about all things deer hunting, from launching your own TV show, to holding trophy bucks on your property, to food plot solutions, to how to buy the best hunting properties.
  6. Meet and chat with industry experts and celebrities
Think of any industry expert, and they’ve been to DeerFest. Lee and Tiffany Lakosky, Michael Waddell and the Bone Collectors, Team Drury, Willie Robertson, and Ted Nugent are all examples of past DeerFest celebrities. Who will you run in to this year?
  7. Enter the Browning Trail Cameras photo contest
Bring your trail camera photos and post them to the Browning Trail Cameras Photo Contest board. DeerFest will give away trail cameras and other prizes for the best photos!
  8. Enter to win prizes
Everyone has the chance to register for great door prizes. We’re not talking a pair of sunglasses or a can koozie (though we wouldn’t be mad if we won those) …we’re talking bows, hunts, trail cameras, and more.
  9. Scope out the many exhibitors
DeerFest will feature more than 250 indoor booths and exhibits, including leading archery and cross bow companies, an ATV display and test area, and so much more. DeerFest is everything deer!

Deer Fest is a deer hunter’s paradise, and there is no shortage of things to do, see, and win while attending! Have you been? Let us know what you love about DeerFest! Learn more at www.deerfestwi.com.
