Spring has sprung! Well, almost… In preparation for warmer temps and sunnier days, we’re sharing eight fun events in Wisconsin to help ring in the new season. From paddling expos to brew fests, there is plenty to do around the state in March. Let us know what else you’re doing this month in the comments!
Fat Tire Birkie in Cable – Head up North for a taste of Birkie Fever! The Fat Bike Birkie race is March 8th and 9th in beautiful Cable, Wisconsin. Registration includes attendance to the post-Birkie bash where you can enjoy Birkie brats and craft beer in a heated tent to celebrate the race.

Canoecopia in Madison – Explore the World’s largest paddling expo March 8-10 at the Alliant Energy Center in Madison! With more than 250,000 square feet of kayaks, canoes, stand up paddleboards, outdoor equipment and clothing, Canoecopia is the place to be to gear up for Spring and Summer. There will also be over 180 seminars and clinics to help you develop your skills and get further, faster.

Sips & Sounds in Janesville – If you’re looking for some indoor fun, check out the Sips & Sounds event in Janesville on March 9th. Enjoy an evening sampling wines and microbrews from throughout Wisconsin, eating hors d’oeuvres and amazing desserts from local eateries – all while relaxing to live music by the Gary Band. And it’s all for a good cause: all proceeds benefit the patients and families served by Agrace Hospice Care. Can’t beat a night out with some heart.

Chocolate Extravaganza in Burlington – Satisfy your sweet tooth and head to the Chocolate Extravaganza in Wisconsin’s chocolate capital, Burlington on March 16. Sample everything from candies, pies, cupcakes, and cookies and choose your favorite in what is sure to be a delicious competition. Judging begins at 10:30am at Burlington High School. Winning’s never tasted so sweet!

Wildwood Film Festival in Appleton – Indulge your inner movie buff and enjoy the many movies playing at the Wildwood Film Festival on March 22 and 23 at the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center in Appleton. This festival highlights a mix of genres offering something for all interests ranging from comedy and drama to music videos and science fiction. Plus, all films submitted have a tie to Wisconsin!

Rock, Gem, Mineral, and Fossil Show in Janesville – Make your weekend rock at the Rock, Gem, Mineral and Fossil Show in Janesville on March 23 and 24. The The Badger Lapidary and Geological Society hosts the show, which includes excellent speakers, beautiful displays, demonstrations, prizes, educational films and activities for kids. It’s sure to be fun for the whole family!

Realtors Home & Garden Show in West Allis – Get ready for Spring with all the latest home and garden tips at the 95th Annual Realtors Home & Garden Show at the Wisconsin Expo Center at State Fair Park. Explore over 350 exhibits and chat with industry professionals on everything landscaping, home design, and more. The show runs from March 22-31.

Roar Off the Shore Brewfest in Luxemburg – Kewaunee County is bringing the brew with the Roar Off the Shore Brewfest on Saturday, March 30. This tasting event is happening at the Kewaunee County Fairgrounds and includes over 200 micro-brews, 100 wines, and plenty of food. No better way to cheers to Spring!
