Fall Outdoor Adventure: All fall color enthusiasts must see Rib Mountain State Park come September and October! First, start the day at the Granite Peak Ski Area and head to one of the highest points in Wisconsin on the Comet Sky Ride. You can ride the seated chairlift up to the top of the mountain and then sit back to take it all in while exploring a bit more of the park – don’t worry, you can take the chairlift back down once you’re ready. Peak colors start in Wausau in mid-September and you’ll want to make this visit before mid-October to get it all!
